The Flyability Elios is the the world's first collision-tolerant drone designed for industrial inspection professionals. Confined, hard-to-reach places can be inspected in both optical and thermal without having to put a human at risk or sending in a conventional drone that may crash.
The Flyability Elios isn't only for industrial inspection, it can be used across many industries. Public safety and law enforcement are rapidly adopting drone technology as an essential tool, and the Elios has numerous ways to contribute to their efforts.
Flyability is a Swiss company building safe drones for inaccessible places. By allowing drones to be used safely inside cities, buildings, and in contact with people, the Elios enables new interactions and services with UAVs and solves the two most critical issues of one of the fastest growing industries: collision and risk of injury. The company’s main market is in industrial inspection where it avoids sending people in dangerous and confined spaces for the inspection of Power Generation, Oil & Gas or Maritime infrastructures.
By making remote visual inspection possible in indoor environments, Elios prevents the need to send humans into potentially hazardous places or situations. The Elios's quick deployment time reduces downtime and can be set up in about the same amount of time it would take to deploy and secure a tall ladder, and less time than donning a full hazmat suit.
Elios has a fully integrated optical and thermal imaging system, as well as an LED spotlight to ensure the operator always has visibility. No matter what the lighting conditions, Elios has you covered. For circumstances where the signal may be affected by materials, there is an optional range extender that allows the operator to place an extended antenna in a different location than they are located. For example, the operator can safely operate the Elios in a storm drain (from the street) by lowering the range extender's antenna through a manhole to a level that allows a direct line of sight between the antenna and the Elios.
