The Phantom 4 Pro+ Version 2.0 is the same aircraft you love, but with 2 major upgrades! Not only does it now include OcuSync (DJI's super-low latency image transmission system), but it also has new and upgraded motors and propellers for a total of 4dB of noise reduction compared to the original.

Exceptional Camera for Superior Quality Imagery

The Phantom 4 Pro is equipped with an onboard camera that boasts of a new 1-inch 20MP CMOS sensor, which is four times bigger and more powerful than that of the Phantom 4. Its enlarged sensor has 12 stops of dynamic range, larger pixels, an improved signal-to-noise ratio, and a wide ISO range of 100 to 12,800 for optimum low-light performance. This allows the drone’s camera to consistently deliver sharp and clear images and videos even in difficult lighting conditions. It also has a custom engineered 24mm f/2.8 wide-angle lens that is specially optimized for capturing aerial imagery.

Combined with the larger sensor and DJI’s powerful imaging processors, the camera is able to produce crisp, richly detailed 20MP photos and ultra-high definition 4K videos. Enhanced video processing capability also allows the Phantom 4 Pro to support H.264 4K videos at 60fps and H.265 4K at 30fps, recorded at a maximum video bitrate of 100 Mbps.

Another feature that is exclusive to the Phantom 4 Pro (out of the Phantom line) is the new mechanical shutter, which was added to cancel out the rolling shutter distortion that can sometimes occur when shooting fast-moving subjects or when recording while flying at maximum speed. These shooting situations are typically quite challenging with an electronic shutter, but the Phantom 4 Pro utilizes a mechanical shutter and a large-aperture prime lens to effectively eliminate motion blur and maintain optimum image quality.

Intelligent Flight Modes with 5-Direction Obstacle Sensing

The Phantom 4 was the first consumer drone to have the capability of “seeing” the world around it and avoiding any obstacles it may encounter in its path. With the Phantom 4 Pro+, this capability is further improved and refined with the addition of multiple sets of high-resolution stereo vision sensors, which can be found in the front, back, and under the body of the drone. It also has an infrared sensing system to cover the left and right sides. These sensors allow the drone to sense obstacles in five different directions, and avoid them in four.

You don’t have to be an expert pilot to fly the drone while simultaneously executing complex shots thanks to the Phantom 4 Pro’s intelligent flight modes.

Out of the many intelligent flight modes available on the Phantom 4 Pro+, ActiveTrack is the most useful for shooting videos or taking photos of a specified subject. This mode allows the quadcopter to recognize an object and follow it while keeping it in the frame. It accomplishes this feat using sophisticated image recognition algorithms that allow the drone to recognize a wide range of subjects, including people, animals, vehicles, and more.

  • Profile - allows the drone to fly alongside the subject and obtain profile shots from different angles
  • Spotlight - locks the camera’s focus on your chosen subject while the drone flies around it in any direction

  • TapFly

    This unique DJI feature provides easy user control with the simple tap of a finger. In this mode, the user is able to tap anywhere on the screen and make the Phantom 4 Pro fly smoothly in that direction, while carefully avoiding obstacles in the process.

  • TapFly Forward - allows the user to direct the drone’s flight by tapping on the screen
  • TapFly Backward - allows the user to instruct the drone to fly in the opposite direction of the screen tap
  • TapFly Free - locks the forward direction of the drone without specifying a fixed camera direction, thus enabling the user to make the camera turn in any direction during flight.

  • Gesture Mode

    DJI’s innovative Gesture Mode allows the Phantom 4 Pro’s camera to recognize gestures with computer vision technology and interpret them as commands. By making simple hand gestures, you can make the aircraft place you in the middle of the camera and start a three-second countdown to capture selfies or group photos hands-free.

    Remote Controller with Built-In 5.5-inch HD Display Screen

    The Phantom 4 Pro+ comes with a dedicated remote controller equipped with a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display screen, which has a brightness of 1000 cd/m2 for easier viewing even in glaring, ultra-bright sunshine. The remote provides complete control over flight and camera functions thanks to the integrated DJI GO app and offers up to five hours of battery power. It also makes use of an upgraded Lightbridge HD video transmission system, which helps rule out instances of image lag when flying in areas with heavy interference. The upgraded video transmission system also uses Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) to send and receive controller and transmission signals at the same frequency, thus allowing efficient flights while streaming high-quality videos in real-time.

    The Phantom 4 Pro makes use of sensor redundancy for improved flight stability and reliability. It has two sets of compass modules and inertial measurement units (IMU), which are the two most important sensors as they are responsible for navigation and flight accuracy.
