The DJI Matrice 300 Drone sets the new standard for commercial drone operations. With brand new AI features, advanced (and customizable) obstacle avoidance, and multiple payload configurations - the Matrice 300 really is "the Future of Possible". The Matrice 300 weighs 3.6kg without the batteries and 6.3kg with both TB60 batteries onboard. The Matrice has unfolded dimensions of 810×670×430mm propellers not included and folds up to 430×420×430mm with the propellers attached. With a maximum takeoff weight of 9kg, the Matrice has a maximum payload weight of 2.7kg and the ability to hold up to three payloads, in a variety of configurations at the same time.
The all-new OcuSync Enterprise gives the Matrice a maximum transmission range of up to 9.3mi, supporting triple channel 1080p video. The Matrice automatically switches between 2.4 and 5.8GHz enabling more flight time in high interference environments.
The Matrice has a maximum flight time of 55 minutes and comes with a charging case that can charge 8 flight batteries and 4 controller batteries at once. Extended flight time is easier and more efficient than ever before, introducing a hot-swap battery system that keeps the drone-powered while you switch the batteries. This eliminates the need to power down the drone to change batteries and drastically decreases the time spent out of the air. The Matrice 300 also provides increased flight performance. The refined airframe and propulsion system provides stability and performance during flights with harsh conditions. The drone has a maximum flight time of 55 minutes, a max speed of 23m/s, a max descend speed of 7m/s a service ceiling of 7000m, and resistance to wind speed up to 15m/s. The enhanced flight performance is matched with a dust and water Ingress Protection rating of 45 giving the Matrice increased durability during missions with inclement weather.
The Matrice 300 features a variety of Advanced Intelligence functions including Live Mission Recording, allowing the user to record mission actions such as flight movements, gimbal movements, photo shooting, and zoom level to use as templates for future automated missions. AI Spot Check is effective for commercial drone use and allows the user to automate routine inspections. The Onboard AI recognizes subjects of interest and can identify them in subsequent missions allowing for consistent framing and results. With Waypoints 2.0 you can set up to 65,535 waypoints and set multiple actions for all payloads including 3rd party ones at each waypoint. Smart PinPoint allows the user to identify a subject with a quick tap and its coordinates will be calculated and immediately projected to all camera views (monitors, controllers, etc.). The coordinates can also be shared through DJI FlightHub increasing the communication and precision of a command center, the drone, and ground units. This feature is especially useful in Search and Rescue missions paired with the Zenmuse H20T thermal sensor payload. Smart Track allows the user to lock on and follow a moving subject such as a person, vehicle, or boat. Auto Zoom is enabled in with this feature to keep the subject in view at all times and to maintain a steady picture. As with PinPoint, the subject's location is continuously transmitted to another controller or through DJI FlightHub. The Matrice 300RTK adopts DJI’s new Primary Flight Display, which intuitively integrates flight, navigation, and obstacle information onto the controller’s screen, giving the pilot the confidence they need to fly effectively. The Matrice also features Dual Control, allowing two users to control the flight and payload separately, or to pass control from one pilot to another. The Matrice 300RTK also features sensors on all six sides of the aircraft that offer up to 40m of obstacle detection. The sensors are programmable through the DJI Pilot App.
The DJI Matrice 300 RTK is compatible with a variety of accessories. The Battery station is a charging case that charges 8 Flight Batteries and 4 Controller Batteries at once. The case, combined with DJI’s new TB60 Battery allows the batteries to be changed without powering down the aircraft, giving the mission the most flight time possible. The DJI Smart Controller Enterprise is equipped with a 5.5-inch 1080p screen that is two times brighter than conventional screens. It has both an HDMI and microSD card slot and an operating temperature of -20° to 40℃. The controller is enabled with the new Dual Control system as well, giving multiple users the ability to pilot the aircraft.
The Matrice 300 RTK is compatible with a variety of payloads including the Zenmuse H20, Zenmuse H20T, Zenmuse XT2, Zenmuse Z30, Zenmuse X-Port, Wingsland Z15 Spotlight, and other third-party payloads. The Max flight time for the Matrice 300 is 55 minutes with no payload, but flight times vary depending on payload configuration. The Z30 has a flight time of 46 minutes, the H20 and XT2 45 minutes and the H20T has a flight time of 43 minutes. Payload configurations with multiple payloads further decrease flight time with a max payload of 2.7kg, the aircraft has a flight time of 31 minutes.
The Matrice 300RTK is useful in a variety of applications including Firefighting, Search and Rescue, Law Enforcement, Powerline Inspection and the Oil and Gas Industry. In the Public Safety sector, the aircraft and sensors are useful in quickly gaining an aerial perspective, helping incident commanders plan more effectively and keep crews and bystanders safe from hazards. The thermal sensor on the Zenmuse H20T allows the Matrice 300RTK to see through smoke, keeping Firefighters safe and identifying hazards and dangerous hot spots. It also is effective with Search and Rescue and Law Enforcement missions identifying missing persons and relaying the coordinates to ground teams. Commercial inspections are more efficient and safer for crews with the Matrice 300RTK’s Spot Check, Grid Photo and Live Mission Recording. These features allow for automated inspections of power lines and consistently framed photos of AI Recognizeable Subjects for faster repairs and downtimes. These features are also useful for inspecting pipelines and drilling sites while keeping workers safely out of harms way.
